Alejandra Regla-Vargas, Ph.D.

I am a Postdoctoral Scholar in Computer & Information Science Department at the University of Pennsylvania, working with Danaé Metaxa on understanding youths’ experiences with and perceptions of online ad targeting and algorithmic personalization.

I recently earned my Ph.D. in Sociology and M.A. in Statistics and Data Science at the University of Pennsylvania. My dissertation research leveraged computational tools to examine the dissemination and contestation of misinformation on social networking sites.
